I came across the poster of this forum on Telegram channel and I saw this one name that I have been waiting to hear from him which is Mr. Muhammad Arif Haikal bin Mohamad Hanafi, who is the speaker of one of the most popular Youtube Channel in Malaysia. In addition with that, I love sea life as much as I love nature too. I think this forum will be the most exciting event that I have been waiting for. I want to know deeper about the sea lives, sea creatures that had been discovered as well as those that remains mystery. Also on the increasing extinction of the sea creatures and factors that speed up the extinction process.
One of the Graduate Attributes is thinking skills. With this forum, it enhance my thinking skills by broaden my way of observing the sea lives. It totally changes my perspective on them. Thinking of how ignorance people can be brought me to be questioning on what if these people exchange their soul with these sea creatures. They must be mad with any living souls that threaten their ecosystem. These people only think and care about their own importance without considering others life and soul.
The forum starts with the introduction of the sea. This is where the question such as "What is the deepest point that has been reached by any diver?" will be answered. Prof Shamsul explain briefly about the sea followed by Dr Sharan who is the member of Malaysian Nature Society Johor. Dr Sharan does share with us on her journey on preserving the sea creatures and spread awareness on the importance of preserving the nature to the public. For the last session, the most excited one at least for me is the sharing session by Mr. Arif Haikal. He shares his experience dealing with a stranded turtle found at the beach. He and his team brought the lovely turtle to a reservation centre where the turtle will be taken care of before releasing it back to the sea.
