For Assignment 2, we were given that we need to prepare newsletters on Cloud Computing Service Provider, Industry Talk 3 talking about Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Industry Talk 4 talking about Augmented Reality (AR). The industry talk 3 was held on 15th November 2021 starting at 3.00 until 4.30 p.m. The speaker of this industry talk, Dr. Qussay Al-Maatouk talked about cloud computing. On the other hand, industry talk 4 was held on 18th November 2021 conducted by Dr. Ruzimi Mohamed, the founder of OZEL Sdn. Bhd. starting from 9.00 to 10.30 p.m. He mentioned the concept of AR and the challenges with AR to us. This is the newsletter prepared by Group 6 below.
From industry talk 3, I learned that cloud computing is the on-demand delivery of computer power, database, storage, applications and other IT resources via the internet. I also thought about how it will be of IT in the future. In fact, I also realized the difference between traditional computing and cloud computing. On the other hand, I also learned about the advantages of the implementation of AWS and cloud computing.
From industry talk 4, I learned that AR is one of the most popular technical trends nowadays and its popularity will only increase as AR-capable smartphones and other devices become more widely available. By employing the computer's vision to interpret the surrounding physical environment, AR merges the real and virtual worlds. It uses cameras to detect and capture items in real-time to allow for real-time interaction.
