CHAPTER 2 : THE INTERNET, THE WEB. AND ELECTRONIC COMMERCE

The Information Superhighway is a term used to describe the Internet. In some ways, it's similar to a highway that connects you to millions of other people and businesses. The Web provides an easy-to-navigate, intuitive, multimedia interface to the Internet's resources. It has become a tool that we all use on a daily basis. Competent people should be able to use these resources, communicate effectively electronically, locate information quickly, understand electronic commerce, and use Web utilities. The buying and selling of goods over the Internet are known as electronic commerce or e-commerce. E-rapid commerce's growth is due to the fact that it provides incentives for both buyers and sellers.
