Reflection
Over the past few weeks, we learned about chapter 9. This chapter contains few things that we had encountered during our foundation and previous chapter of PCP which is Hess Law and enthalpy tables. Although we have studied Hess Law before, but this chapter is more deep and a bit different compare to Hess Law we learned before. Other than that, this chapter also include energy balance on reactive process. In this subchapter, we have to master two different type of method in solving energy balance. The method is heat of formation and heat of reaction method. The reason we have to completely understand both methods are because some question or problem have limited information, thus just by knowing one method is not enough and the problem might not be solved. Few weeks after study regarding chapter 9, and two days before mid-sem break, we had a test 2 which consist of 4 question. Two questions are from Hess Law, and the other 2 are energy balance.

Once again, our beloved Prof.Dr Azeman became our lecturer for Principle Of Chemical Process (PCP) . His determination to watch his student succeed in this course, can be seen through my eyes. This semester, we start our part 3 of PCP which is Balance on Nonreactive Process.Basically, this chapter involve mainly heat energy. This chapter frequently talk about how to use tables in the back page of PCP book. Almost all the tables at the back of the book is used. Furthermore, I also learned how to use and read psychometric chart on page 385. This chart is important to determined dew point temperature, specific volume and others. Last week, we already move on to a new chapter, which is chapter 9. I look foward to study this chapter. That conclude my journal . Thanks for taking you're time reading my journal.
At first, my seniors always told me that Principle of chemical process(PCP) is tough. Even Statics subject are more easier. For me, there's no easy thing to acomplish in this world without determination and hard work. Basically, I'd tried to cope in everything Dr Azeman tought us and never crossed in my mind to skip his class, although I didn't came to one of his class because of tiredness. Mass balance in single unit process was the first new thing I learned from this course, which is quite hard since it was new to me but with examples and working sessions provide by Dr Azeman I can understand this chapter very well and Alhamdulillah I scored in my first test. With high marks, it makes me confident that I can also score for my second test but sadly, I was to busy preparing myself for another important programme outside UTM and I did not fully prepared for the test , eventually my test scores are very bad. Although I was very upset, I convinced myself that every human lifes have their own ups and down. This will become my driver to survive in this course and also in engineering school. For this coming exam, I hoped that I can get A in this course and to ensure that, I will make sure that I am fully prepared to face the challenging question that will be tested because I know that it is not easy to score without fully preparation.
