PROJECT

This project required us to complete the Low Fidelity Prototype. Low fidelity prototypes are often paper-based and do not allow user interaction. It consists of a series of mock-ups drawn by hand to print. Theoretically, low-precision sketches are made faster. Low-fidelity prototypes help enable early visualization of alternative design solutions, which helps trigger innovation and improvement. An additional advantage to this approach is that when using rough sketches, users may feel more comfortable proposing changes. This assignment is divided into two parts:

 

Part 1

In part 1, we are required to make a report on the 4th IR technology that we will use in the scenario problem we created. Based on the scenario, we can identify potential clients and create the appropriate cloud architecture to solve the problems. Since we are from a bioinformatics course, our lecturer asked us to provide scenarios related to bioinformatics problems. It somehow enhances our idea of creating scenarios related to our problems as bioinformatics students. My group decided to create a website that involved all the applications used in bioinformatics subjects such as coding, meeting applications, assignment submission etc. by using Artificial Intelligence (AI) in the website. It simplifies the work of bioinformatics students as all applications are provided in the website and shortens their time to find and open the application they want to use. We are also required to use AWS Architecture Design to showcase the entire ecosystem design in Part 2 later. Therefore, we have selected one of the AWS services in each network, database and storage that suits our scenario.

 

Part 2

In Part 2, we are required to provide reports, videos related to the progress of the project as well as a presentation of our project. The report involves an introduction to our project, a description of our problems, solutions and how our group worked throughout the completion of this project. We are also required to create an AWS Architecture Design regarding our website ecosystem, a business process flow diagram with its description and finally provide a low fidelity mock-up using software such as Adobe XD Sketch, Marvel etc. Finally, we need to provide a reflection and feedback throughout our learning in completing this project. We named our project as 'AlphaBI' which is one of our invention software that aims to provide convenience to students and lecturers of bioinformatics. For the mock-up, we used the Uizard application to show how our project works and additions to the existing e-learning system. We also held several meetings to discuss our project and after a few weeks of doing this project assignment, we were finally able to complete this assignment successfully.
