Mini Report and Reflection :

CULTURE CORNER 25.0 TYING THE KNOT is a UTM International event themed "Love and Toast." This is an event where countries from all over the world come to view and display their culture for their wedding ceremony. As one of the Indonesian representatives, my team and I delivered a full explanation of the wedding procession from one region in West Sumatra, with Minang Kabau customary ceremonies. We present it in detail, from the commencement of the wedding procedure to the outfits. We presented Suntiang. Suntiang is used to present the Minang Kabau wedding culture. Which Suntiang is a custom that is extremely important to that represents the responsibility of a woman in a marriage. Suntiang weights between 3 and 5 kilograms, implying that a woman's role in the houshold should not be overlooked. Similarly, some countries' customs have a deep meaning of their own and it makes me stunned in each of the diversity.

This event was a fascinating experience for me because I was able to learn about many cultures through wedding processions from around the world. I also learned an important lesson from this occasion, which was the diversity in this sacred wedding procession, which has its own deep meaning for each culture. With this event, I gained a greater understanding of how to respect variety in the procession of a sacred event from each culture.
