Mini Report and Reflection :
Global Village 3.0 is an activity in which various students from around the world unite to introduce one other's cultures. This event showcases and teaches about many various cultures, from the costumes to the food to the diverse interactions. As the Indonesian representative, we prepare several types of wedding ceremonial clothes from Indonesia. Many guests are interested in the outfits and even get to put them on and snap pictures in them. We also provide some traditional Indonesian delicacies.
All of the activities in this global village provide very deep lessons on thinking and how one sees the world with all of its differences. Every diversity in each country has its own beauty. Every difference in each country has its own charm and individuality. Looking at the globe's diversity opens up my mind and makes me wonder how there can be controversies over differences in the world, even if the world is more beautiful and exciting with this diversity. This experience made me realize that everyone should appreciate the beauty of the differences that exist in every corner of the earth in order for human peace to be realized. Overall, this event was a very positive experience for me.
