Program People In Need People Offer (PINPO) is a meaningful and impactful program to myself. The reason I decide to joined this program is because of the purpose of the program which are support children in need of care and protection and to help destitute poor, neglected and needy children, attracted me. I feel that this is one of the experiences that needs to be felt by the younger generation to improve ourself being a better person.
As I was responsible as a member of activity unit, communication skill is very important as I need to communicate and discuss with my team members to reach a consensus to choose the activities that will be done on the day of the program. I was able to voicing my idea and opinion with team members. Next, thinking skills made me think "outside the box" in order to present my ideas in more interesting way for interesting activities. Leadership and Teamworking Skills is also one of the Graduate Attributes I gained. This attributes is an essential part of skills. Every committee members should understand their own job scope and responsibility to run the program smoothly. The program are involving toddler and preschooler, hence these skills play a significant roles to avoid misunderstanding and unwanted accidents.
Even though there are unforeseen events occur during the program which is the lunch and closing event got drag, we able to overcome it as a teams by discussing what the best to do to fulfill the time. The activity have decide to adding a activities which are playing a musical chair and telematch. We could overcome an unforeseen event with critical thinking as a teams.
Lastly, PINPO provides me with guidance and tolerance which I may use in the future to aid me in my decisions. It is also enables me to develop new skills that I would otherwise may not have been able to develop and give impact in my life by empowering me through the experience.
