The Losting Composing Class is the sharing session that share the music knowledge to a group of people who are interested in composed pop music. A total of 59 students from different faculty joined this programme and this programme conducted from 9.00 p.m. to 10 p.m., so that the participants have ample of time to undertsand and catch up the content shared by presentor.

This programme is aim to give an introduction of music genre and the theory of music to the participants on the usage of google cloud platform. For instance, the participants are taught about the genre of music such as Jazz, Blue, Classical, etc and also the experiences from seniors on how to compose a new song by using software like FL studio, and Audacity.

This programme involves several graduate attributes such as communication skills, leadership, and teamworking. As a committee member, in order to held a programme successfully, we need to communicate with others and work together to ensure the content presented in the programme will be informative and the programme can run smoothly. For instance, a few weeks before the programme, we were having some meeting to prepare the materials used in the programme and discuss about the guests to be invited to share their experiences. At the same time, we will need to make sure that all of the activity was under control.

Overall, the participants are quite satisfy on the content shared in the programme and they claimed that they had gained insights on basic knowledge of music, especially on how to differentiate the music genre as well as how to start up a new song. They claimed that they will attend this programme if this programme will be conducted again in the future.

Self-Reflection

As a commitee, I'm glad to be involved and invited in this programme as I learnt a lot of soft skills such as communication skills, team-working and thinking skill from this programme. At the same time, I'm glad that I can help others to start composing their new songs.

Through this programme, I learnt that communication skills is a basic skill for every programme in order to make the programme run smoothly and successfully. This skill is important when I need to express myself and share my experiences to the participants. It is important to have a good communication skill so that everybody can understand what am I try to deliver to the participants. Furthermore, team-working is also an important skills during the process of preparing the programme. I will need to work with students from different faculties and hometown to held a programme perfectly. Besides, we will need to control the flow of the programme and also make the aura of the programme actively.

My strength is that I am a good team player. I am able to work with all kinds of people and make sure we can complete our task under pressure. This strength helps a lot on this programme.

The challenges that I had faced is that I am not expert in FL studio software. However, this problem was overcomed by inviting an experienced seniors to conduct in this part of the programme.

In my opinion, I can improve myself by learning more about the music production software as well as the music mastering skill so that I can share my experiences on using the software to the participants.
