MUHAMMAD NUR SOLIHIN BIN MALIK RADZUAN's Reflection

Reflection on Pertandingan Debat SPRM 2023

Participating in the Pertandingan Debat Antirasuah IPT Piala Ketua Pesuruhjaya SPRM 2023 has been a transformative experience for me. Engaging in this competition, alongside 39 other universities, has not only deepened my understanding of anti-corruption measures but has also significantly enhanced my communication, teamworking, leadership, and language skills.

Firstly, the debates have provided a platform for me to refine my communication skills. Expressing my ideas effectively, articulating arguments persuasively, and engaging in respectful and constructive dialogue with participants from diverse backgrounds have been invaluable experiences. Through rigorous preparation and active participation, I have learned to communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact.

Additionally, this competition has emphasized the importance of teamworking and collaboration. Working closely with my teammates, we have learned to leverage each other's strengths, delegate tasks efficiently, and maintain open lines of communication. Together, we have fostered an environment of mutual support and respect, which has greatly enhanced our collective performance.

Furthermore, the competition has allowed me to exercise and develop leadership skills. Taking charge of team coordination, organizing practice sessions, and guiding the group through the different stages of the competition has been a rewarding responsibility. Leading by example, I have honed my ability to motivate and inspire my teammates, fostering a cohesive and motivated team.

Lastly, participating in debates has significantly improved my language skills. Engaging in rigorous research, constructing persuasive arguments, and delivering speeches have all contributed to my language proficiency. The competition has expanded my vocabulary, improved my grammar, and enhanced my ability to express complex ideas fluently and concisely.

Overall, the Pertandingan Debat Antirasuah IPT Piala Ketua Pesuruhjaya SPRM 2023 has been an enriching journey. It has not only deepened my knowledge of anti-corruption measures but has also strengthened my communication, teamworking, leadership, and language skills. This experience has equipped me with the essential skills and confidence to contribute meaningfully to future endeavors, both academically and professionally.

Reflection on Karnival Puisi Nusantara

As a participant in the esteemed program held by UTM, which spanned an extensive duration, I successfully attained three important graduate attributes: leadership and teamworking skills, communication skills, and enterprising skills. The experience reinforced the significance of effective teamwork, as the successful completion of tasks relied on the collective efforts and collaboration of team members. As a crew responsible for my assigned units, I recognized the importance of regular communication and daily updates to ensure the smooth progress of tasks. Moreover, I actively sought input from team members, valuing their perspectives and making informed decisions through deliberation with higher-level committees.

Throughout the program, I witnessed notable improvements in my communication skills, a necessity due to my interactions with various program crews. Although the program was conducted online, which posed certain challenges in establishing connections and recognizing all the program participants, I overcame these obstacles by actively participating in meetings and rehearsals, fostering meaningful interactions. Additionally, the program provided a valuable opportunity to forge new friendships with peers from my own batch, as well as senior and junior batches. The friendly and welcoming atmosphere cultivated a cohesive team dynamic, devoid of any awkward or uncomfortable moments.

One of the significant challenges I encountered during both the program preparation phase and the live session was the issue of unstable internet connection. Undoubtedly, this was a drawback inherent to conducting an online program, affecting participants universally. There were instances when I struggled to attend meetings or rehearsals until their completion due to weather conditions that adversely impacted the internet connection. However, as a team, we devised strategies to address this problem and mitigate its impact.

To ensure that everyone remained updated and informed despite connectivity issues, we implemented a system where a designated individual would diligently compile a summary of each meeting or rehearsal, capturing the key discussions and decisions made. This summary would then be shared in our WhatsApp group, allowing all team members to refer back to it as needed while carrying out their respective tasks. By adopting this approach, we aimed to maintain cohesion and continuity within the team despite the intermittent connectivity challenges we faced. While unstable internet connections presented obstacles, our collective efforts to adapt and find practical solutions allowed us to navigate these difficulties and proceed with the program effectively.

REFLECTION INDUSTRIAL TALK #3 BY ASIA PACIFIC UNIVERSITY

AMAZON WEB SERVICES

CLOUD COMPUTING

Based on the talk, I learned a lot about cloud computing since it is related to my project which is a low fidelity prototype. I learned how to use Amazon Web Service and the overview of this cloud computing service provider. Also, cloud computing is the on-demand, pay-as-you-go distribution of IT services through the Internet. Instead of purchasing, operating, and maintaining physical data centers and servers, you may rent computing power, storage, and databases from a cloud provider like Amazon Web Services on an as-needed basis (AWS).  This talk exposed me to the things that I don't know and then made me realize how good Amazon web Services are to the users when they want to implement their own servers, programs, projects, and many more. Lastly, I can say that this talk has greatly left a big impact on myself and also on other students at the University of Technology Malaysia.

UHMT1012 REFLECTION

On 26th January 2021, I attended my first class for Graduate Success Attributes and the lecturer provided me with the course information just to expose the students about this course. This course is taught me certain qualities that a graduate should possess. Based on the classes that I have been in for the whole semester, I can say that I gained many qualities that are needed for me to get through the interview session whether it is a scholarship interview or job interview. I would say before I attended this course, I lack so many qualities that I should have in myself. For example, in this course, there is a way on how you can improve our communication skills and also social skills. I would say that I am a student who loves to spend my time alone and it is so hard for me to open up with other people. I would not easily make friends throughout my life but this course made me want to change myself. All of the assignments that have been given to us were so significant and helps me a lot. For example, we need to make a self-introductory video and by this video, I can improve myself on speaking in front of the camera. After that, I am not afraid to be the first person who starts the conversation since we were exposed to doing the assignments with other students. It also Negaraimproves my social skill.

REFLECTION ON CARRIER TALK #1 and #2

This career talk had exposed me to the evolution of our country to support the 5th Industrial Revolution and also shared the infrastructure that has been developed by the TM.  These innovations that have been developed by the TM made me realize how the technologies manipulated human minds to keep modernizing as to keep our life easier compared to before. One of the innovations that opened my eyes is the project of 5G, where how the Internet changed from time to time. As a teenager who is always using my smartphone, it is indeed quite new for me to know how exactly the line modernized.
