For our group project, we had to conduct a project related to data analysis. We had chosen to use the data provided by Kaggle Data which focus on the level of perseverance, competitiveness, self-reliance, and self-confidence of the students willingly to become an entrepreneur with Engineering science, Economic or Art education sectors. Our selected datasets had involved a population of 219 students and 73 data were then selected by us to be analysed in this group project.
For the conducting of the project, we had divided our project equally among us to ensure we finish our work on time. Feng Yi Yang was responsible for doing the Hypothesis and Chi-square/ANOVA test, Zhu Yi Chen was given the task of doing the Regression test, while I was tasked to do the Correlation test. All of us had used R-Studio as the platform in doing our tests. As an R-Studio beginner, I had learned to construct the coding of correlation tests by having a deep understanding of the tutorial slides provided by the lecture. As to boot, I also learned to be familiar with the various functions and formats of R-Studio by searching tutorials and solutions from the other experts by using google search and YouTube.
As for our group project video, each of us had decided to record our part separately. We had to explain the coding and its execution as well as the result that we obtain in a specific and easy-to-understand way. Afterward, we had collected and compiled all the videos recorded by each member into a complete video for submission.
From our experience in constructing the report, I had learned that having good teamwork and good communication with other group members is important in completing the work in a short time. Aside from that, I had also learned that good preparation and understanding of the topic of the project are important in doing our group project. More importantly, I and my groupmates have a deeper understanding of the topic of data analysis and the relationship between variables.
