- Impact of the activities on the development of the students’ Graduate Attributes;
Through this workshop, I learned a lot and also tried things that I never experienced before. This is my first time being appointed as programme director and also my first time conducting a workshop. So I will say I learnt a lot. First, I get to improve my communication level to a new level. I learnt the technique of speaking in front of a group of people. And I realised that it is very difficult to maintain the interaction with participants in a virtual event, but I know how I am going to improve it next time.
Next, I also get to improve my team working skill again. To pull off this event, I need to work with other members to prepare the content of the workshop (slides, code). Then, I also need to work with the member from the multimedia & marketing department so that we can have successful marketing on this event
- Self strength/advantage towards the activities;
I think in this activity, my biggest strength would be my coding skills. I have a very firm grasp of the topic (python programming) covered in this workshop. So, I can deliver the knowledge to our participants successfully. And I can answer the question asked by our participants during the QnA session.
- Challenges and how to overcome them.
Then, among all the problems I faced to organise this event, I think the biggest challenge to me is the multimedia work. Although I have other members of the club to help me prepare the posters for marketing. But I still need to prepare the slides for teaching. I found it to be very difficult to design an attractive slide. So, I spent a lot of time asking people and watching tutorials to understand and learn how to make a good slide for a presentation.
