Internship Logbook Daily Report Week 4 (MUHAMAD AKMAL BIN AZMAN B16KM0030)

Start doing the Modification Document for the Owners Plate installation for type AS350B2 by Airbus Helicopter. Start from the Planning Information. Its includes the Type of Helicopter that is Airbus Helicopter and the registration number is still unknown. Its classified as MINOR modification cause it doesn't effect the weight and the performance of the Helicopter.It also includes Reason, Description, Approval, Manpower, Special tool, Weight and Balance, Electrical Load data and Publication Affected. For Application Instruction, it includes Preparation,  Mechanical Installation, electrical Installation, and Final Installation Instruction. Lastly for Material Information includes New parts, Replacement Parts and Re-Identified Parts.  

Continue on the project of making modification document on type AS350B2 by Airbus Helicopter for installation of Owner's Plate. Continue on making Instruction for Continued Airworthiness (ICA). Starts with introduction that includes Effectivity of the helicopter. Scope of the Helicopter where it identified about ICA of the Helicopter.Purpose and the Precautions (if Applicable).  It divided in some sections. From Section A to Section F. Section A describes about the Helicopter that needed modification and the Owner's Plate.Section B describes about the inspection schedule and maintenance check for the Owner's Plate, including cleaning and visual check. Section C is about Airworthiness Limitation where it can be negligible. Section D is wiring diagram wheres there no wiring involves on installation Owner's Plate. Section E is the Illustrated Parts and Tools catalogs where the drawing of location and the Owner's Plate. Lastly Section F is the Component Maintenance Manual, where theres no manual maintenance included.    

Continue on the task given by Miss Addah by making the modification document needed for installation of Owner's Plate in type AS35B2 by Airbus Helicopter. Today im gonna make the last part of the document that is Structural Justification Report (ER)  for Installation of Owner's Plate. 

Today is also the day where Auditor from CAAM has come to the office for an inspection on DOA approval on Mycopter Aviation.

For ER, the documents is a bit complicated because it must be Justify and compile with the following regulation comes with the Helicopter, where the AS250B2 is compile with the FAR part 27.

The document includes some sections, Introduction, Objective, Description, Analysis and Discussion, and Reference.For the Objective it includes the certain subparts that needed to included like 

• Sec 27.301: Loads 
• Sec 27.305 : Strength and Deformation
• Sec 27.307 : Proof of Structure
• Sec 27.561 : General
• Sec 27.601 (a) : Design
• Sec 27.603 (b) : Materials
• Sec 27.613 (a) : Material Strength properties and design values

This requirement must be compile with this document to ensure the modification followed the regulation.

Continue on completing the ER document. Still not completed because the drawing is needed for completing the document.

Work on the analysis and discussion part where most part of the compliance regulation needed to be justify for it to be airworthy. For this case, the compatibility of material is compliance with S.301, S.305(a), S.561(b)(3), S.601(a) and Notices 7201.

For the Protection of Structure, The material of he Owner's Plate and Floor is basically is not in the same group. Hence the possible of Corrosion is negligible because the two of those material is not from the same group. Owner's Plate is made from Stainless Steel, while the floor is probably Aluminium, thus the material is not similar.

At the evening around 2 pm, Mycopter has organized a Hari Raya event at the hanger office at subang airport. 

Today is the day where my appointed Lecture for Internship visit, Dr Azila is coming to make an inspection on my progress here in Mycopter Aviation.

She will be briefed about the company background, task given by my respective Sv, Abang Luqman and Cik Addah and the job scope of my internship program.
